“Our labels have to be as good as our candles and diffusers, as the pleasure of seeing and then opening our packaging is just the beginning of what customers enjoy about them,” explains Anne Twist, founder of Brownstone, a specialist in home fragrance and related home accessories, which is based in Surrey.

Brownstone’s candles and reed diffusers have a range of packaging designs but they stand out with their consistent use of matt white surfaces, and different coloured cigar band fragrance labels for many products.  Axicon has produced five different types of label for Brownstone, some with a bespoke size and shape, and all providing a sophisticated and modern identity for the brand.  All the labels have been matt laminated to produce the look and feel that Brownstone required.   The labels for the travel candles also include scannable barcodes to help the sales and order process for Brownstone’s retailers.

“We wanted to be sure that our labels would reflect the high quality of our products, and the team at Axicon was great in providing us with samples of our house colours printed in different intensities so that we could decide which were the best options.  We need labels in relatively small quantities for some products, as we want to be responsive to changing demand, and Axicon has continued to be the flexible supplier we hoped they would be,” added Anne.   “Previously we have bought labels in high volume from China but working with Axicon has meant we can be more flexible with the order quantity and we receive the goods within days of placing our order without incurring high courier costs from the Far East, which is better for the environment as well”
